As June has turned into July, work is progressing nicely on our construction projects. Now that drywall is going up on some of the newly constructed walls and closets, it is becomming easier to see how these spaces are taking shape.
The restroom in the new Pre3 room is ready for drywall:
Meanwhile, across the hall the new Pre4 classroom has its new windows installed (the lower vent parts will be a few more weeks) and has been freshly painted:
While the window contractors are here, we are also finishing the ventillation upgrades that were started last summer in the remaining restrooms without fans:
Up in the New 2A and New 2B classrooms, the drywall is up on the closets and New 2A has been completely covered in new drywall:
The new Preschool Office, located opposite of the Music Room, is up and running. The old GLDC Office is a work in progress as the rug which served many little ones so well is being removed:
Thankfully my trip up to the old GLDC Office today was uneventful, since yesterday while I was in there I turned around to find myself trapped by a bird. (You have probably guessed that I am not comfortable around animals.) Thanks to Mr. Bonifazi for safely showing my captor back to the great outdoors:
