Asking for money is not one of my strong points. It is a necessary part of being the Principal at times, and for that reason I do it. Still, I am not very good at it nor do I enjoy it. At time, however, it is necessary to ask or remind our Academy families about specific financial issues.
Yesterday I reported via an email that we had only collected $242.00 toward the diocesan collection to purchase food for the people of Burkina Faso. This money is being pooled with money from all schools in our diocese to make a bulk food purchase which the students who are attending the Eucharistic Congress will package on October 12. Today we received additional donations totaling $739.00. Our total is now $981.00
Thank you for your response to my appeal. Truth be told, I had forgotten to send my donation in until today as well.
As always, I am so proud to be Principal of St. Gregory the Great Academy!
