Members of our 8th Grade class participated in the 31st Annual Scholastic Olympics at Trenton Catholic Academy on Thursday, November 15, 2012. Members of the team included: Amanda Gill, Jayson Morelli, Patrick Rossidivito, Ina Patricia Perez, Joseph Kale, Aidan O'Neill, Erin Hagemann, Sean O'Donnell, Amanda Sorrento, Eric Tapia, Caitlin Clarke, Matthew DeLorenzo, Flannery O'Donnell, and Austin Nance.
Our team not only competed well, they also were models of what St. Gregory the Great Academy students represent to our community. Our team took Second Place in this competition! In addition to this team accomplishment, the following students placed in the individual subject area competitions: Amanda Gill (2nd place - Art), Patrick Rossidivito (3rd Place- English), Joseph Kale (1st place - History), Erin Hagemann (3rd place - Math), Sean O'Donnell (2nd place - Math), and Amanda Sorrento (1st place - Religion).

Here is a trivia question: Both Mrs. Rivera and I also participated in the Scholastic Olympics at what was McCorristin Catholic High School when we were in 8th grade (though we were not in 8th grade the same year -- guess what years these were, and whose year is further in the past!) As I remember, Mrs. Rivera did very well in her year; I did not!
