One of the most meaningful aspects, to me, of our Hall of Fame Dinner on October 19, 2013, aside from the two primary reasons for the event, was the presence of my three immediate predecessors. Pictured below are (l-r) Mrs. Joan Pramberger (principal 2004-2010), me (principal 2010-present), Sr. Nora Nash, OSF (principal 1978-1993), and Miss Regina McIntyre (principal 1993-2004).
It was very nice to gather with those who have helmed St. Gregory the Great School/Academy for the period 1978-2013. Each of my three predecessors brought unique gifts and talents as principal, and I am thankful for their years of service to our school. Be it Sr. Nora's bringing the school back from a planned closure after the 1978-79 school year during extraordinarily challenging times at the parish and establishing academic programs which filled the school to capacity by the time she left, Miss McIntyre's work to make the school fully handicapped accessible and the level of emphasis that she brought to our academic programs for all types of learners, or Mrs. Pramberger's efforts to introduce the StarBoards into the classrooms and begin the process of updating our facility, each of these three women are an important part of the history of our school. As I mentioned in my closing remarks at the dinner, St. Gregory the Great Academy exists today because of the hard work of those who have come before us. In the picture above, three representatives of the many, many people who put in this work are pictured. I am personally grateful to each of them as well as to everyone who has labored in this corner of God's creation since 1965.
